De Nederlandse functionele definitie van doofblindheid beschrijft wat iemands beperking in horen én zien betekent voor het dagelijks leven. Een beperking in horen én zien wordt ook wel doofblindheid genoemd.

The Dutch functional definition of deafblindness describes the impact of a hearing and vision impairment on a person’s daily life. A hearing and vision impairment is also called deafblindness.
